MATTHEW 25 COLLECTION (based on Matthew’s Gospel, Chapter 25, 33ff)

Support a local food pantry by donating food and/or funds during this first week of Lent.

WEEK 2         FEBRUARY 28

“I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink.”

Support the St. Mary Elizabeth Ministry by making a donation of baby formula or funds during the second week of Lent.

          WEEK 3           MARCH 7

“I was a stranger and you welcomed me.”

Gather your immediate family together frequently and pray for a family member or friend in need of prayer during                                 the third week of Lent.

WEEK 4         MARCH 14

“I was naked and you gave me clothing.”

Support the St. Mary Elizabeth Ministry by making a donation of baby items or funds during the fourth week of Lent.

WEEK 5         MARCH 28

“I was sick and you took care of me.”

Support the St. Mary Parish SVDP Outreach Program by donating hygiene items or funds during the fifth week of Lent.

You can contribute each week to the Matthew 25 Program by bringing a check or items to Mass on the weekend, or by dropping off contributions at the parish office during the week.    (Checks should be made out to:  St. Mary Parish with the ministry name on the memo line.)  While the Matthew 25 Program has assigned specific items to each week during Lent, please feel free to adopt these Lenten responses as you can.  Don’t feel limited to action limited to a specific week.  The Rice Bowl Program is also available any time during Lent.  Rice Bowls are available in church and in the parish office.  May this Lenten journey be the most spiritually important journey you have ever experienced.
