21st Century Stewardship: One More Way to Make a Difference
Did you know that each year, St. Mary Parish receives gifts of stock as a form of contribution and support? For some donors, this type of gift alleviates capital gains tax associated with a stock sale. Others enjoy the benefit of a pretax charitable contribution of required distributions from their retirement funds. Speaking with your tax preparer or retirement and/or brokerage account representative is a great first step to finding out if making this type of contribution is right for you.
If transferring stock to St. Mary is a good option for you, it is a simple process and usually can be completed over the phone or via email.
