Sacrament Preparation for Adults

Baptism Preparation for Parents of Infants

Baptism is an initiation into one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic church. It is the gateway, or first step, into the life of Jesus Christ and his Church. To help parents prepare for their child's baptism, a team of parishioners and staff conducts two sessions. If you are not currently a member of St. Mary Parish, we ask that you join our parish before your child's baptism. The first session is held once a month at a parishioner's home, and the second session is held on Sunday morning at the parish.

To arrange baptism and join our parish, contact the Parish Office at 694-6018. Please contact the parish at least two months before the planned baptism date.

Order of Christian Initiation of Adults O.C.I.A (formerly known as RCIA, or the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)

For those who are unbaptized, or those baptized in another Christian tradition, or those baptized Catholic but never catechized to prepare for receiving the sacraments of initiation.

The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults is the process by which people become members of the Catholic Church. It is primarily designed for adults who have never been baptized. Still, it can be adapted for those baptized in other Christian denominations who are now seeking membership in the Catholic Church. For more information, call the Parish Office at 262-694-6018.

Adult Confirmation Class

The Adult Confirmation Class is a series of sessions for adults who are baptized in the Catholic faith, have received First Eucharist, and want to prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Anyone can also attend if they want an update on their faith.

Please call the Director of Adult Ministry at 262-694-6018 x 4157 for additional information or to register for these programs.
