St. MARY CATHOLIC PARISH 2026 SCHOLARSHIP

2026_27 Scholarship Application & Data Sheet

St. Mary Parish will offer two scholarships in 2026 to support the Catholic education of worthy students at St. Joseph Catholic Academy High School. The Parish will award one $500.00 scholarship to each selected incoming 9th-grade student. This is a one-time payment made directly to the school for tuition on the student's behalf.

The scholarship will be awarded after careful review of all applications received, along with the requested documents. The criteria to be used by the selection committee are as follows:

  1. Strong Christ-centered values and a desire to continue their Catholic education.
  2. Academic performance of at least a 3.00 grade point average on a 4.00 scale or equivalent, and academic honors.
  •  School and non-school extracurricular activities, volunteer work, athletics, music, and theater, etc. One of the scholarships, the Thomas J. Higgins Memorial Scholarship, recognizes leadership, good sportsmanship, and participation in extracurricular activities.
  1. Leadership skills.
  2. The student’s family is a registered and active member of St. Mary Parish.
  3. Family financial need may be taken into consideration at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee.

  3. The School Office at All Saints Catholic Academy campus office or by reviewing the school’s website.

To be eligible for the scholarships, please ensure that the attached application, grade transcripts, and at least one letter of recommendation are submitted to the St. Mary Parish Office [Attn: Scholarship Committee] by noon on April 30th, 2026. St. MARY CATHOLIC PARISH 2026 SCHOLARSHIP AWARDING

INFORMATION REGARDING AWARDING SCHOLARSHIP

  1. Upon determining the scholarship recipient, the recipient will be notified of that determination by Fr. Roman or his designee.
  2. All Applicants will be notified in writing of the awarding of the scholarship as soon as possible after the determination is made.
  3. The awarding of the scholarship will be announced in the Parish’s Sunday Bulletin after all applicants have been notified of the selection.
  4. The scholarship check will be forwarded to St. Joseph Catholic Academy on the recipient's behalf once the three items above have been completed.

Tuition Assistance Program


St. Mary’s Congregation is continuing its commitment to Catholic education in Kenosha by offering tuition assistance to parish families who will be sending their children to St. Joseph Catholic Academy and/or All Saints Catholic School for the 2026-27 school year. The aid may be in addition to scholarships that the Parish may also offer. The amounts granted will be at the discretion of the pastor and the Selection Committee in keeping with the Parish’s current budget. The assistance is available only to members of St. Mary’s Parish and will be paid directly to the school on behalf of the students once registration for the coming year is confirmed.

The deadline for applying for tuition assistance is noon on April 30, 2026. The application and the requested supporting documentation must be received at the Parish office by that time or be submitted electronically by that date and time to afeekes@stmarycatholic.org.
