Crossroads LIFE TEEN

 

St. Mary/St. Therese High School Youth Ministry

 

Crossroads LIFE TEEN is the comprehensive combined youth ministry program between St. Mary and St. Therese Parishes.  It began here at in 2005 and welcomes all teens in 8th-12th grade no matter what parish or denomination they come from.  In addition to powerful Liturgies and engaging LIFE Nights, there are retreats, service opportunities, Teen Talk Bible studies, nights of prayer and worship and other social activities designed to deepen their communion with Christ and with each other.

 

What is LIFE TEEN?

LIFE TEEN is an international Catholic Youth movement within the Church whose primary focus is to lead teens closer to Christ by providing resources and training that encourages vibrant Eucharistic celebrations and opportunities for spiritual growth.  Currently there are over 1,100 parishes around the world that are involved in LIFE TEEN.  For more information on LIFE TEEN, visit their website at http://www.lifeteen.com/ .

 

Crossroads LIFE TEEN:

*Crossroads LIFE TEEN meets almost every 2nd and 4th

Sunday evening from 6:00-9:00pm at St. Mary’s

Parish from the last Sunday in August to the last Sunday in April.

LIFE TEEN Youth Mass:  6:00pm in St. Mary Church

Crossroads Life Night:  7:00-9:00pm; Bell Hall or Youth Room

Teen Talk Tuesday:

This group is for teens that WANT to go deeper in their faith.  We meet EVERY TUESDAY from 7:00-9:00pm at St. Mary’s Parish in the Youth/Scout Room.

 

Tentative Schedule of Teen Talk Tuesday (see bulletin):

1st Tuesday:  Festival of Praise (all ages invited) 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Tuesday: Bible Study

 

Hour of Power:  Every 3rd Friday of the Month

7-9pm; St. Mary Parish Center Chapel (all ages invited) - Night of prayer and worship in front of Jesus, who is present in the Eucharist.

 

Numerous opportunities for other social and service events, including a summer workcamp mission trip and a life-changing trip to the summer Steubenville Youth Conference.  Many retreat opportunities are also available.

 

Sacrament of Confirmation:

During the 11th grade year, teens have the opportunity to be

involved in sacramental preparation for the Sacrament

of Confirmation.  Classes usually take place on the

1st and 3rd Sunday’s from 7-8:30pm at St. Therese

Parish.
